Turn into Orion Way, a cul-de-sac, from Hunter Avenue, Willesborough – opposite the playing field. At the end of the road take the right hand fside at the T-junction. The entrance to the allotments is at the end of this branch of Orion Way, next to some new houses. There is parking nearby.
There is space to park cars securely and conveniently inside the gate, on grass. There are three water points. A noticeboard is by the entrance gate.
Orion Way is on good, free-draining loamy soil (“lovely soil, the water just runs through it” in the words of allotment rep Mr Roy Taylor). The site is open with a couple of small trees and a well-trimmed hedge down the northwest boundary; it is entirely surrounded by other properties. Wide grassy paths make this an attractive and desirable site to work in. Despite the railway being close by, this is one of the quieter sites in Ashford.
